Shift Manager

Vacancy Description:

This business is highly innovative, and well respected within the industry. Operating from a single site, but as part of a larger group, the business currently supplies a diverse portfolio of products to a wide customer base. 

Due to an internal restructure designed to clarify lines of communication and accountability, the business is now looking to appoint a shift manager to a key factory on site. The role will report to the factory leader, and be responsible for leading all operational issues on shift. The site is highly complex, both in terms of operations as they manufacture well over 1000 SKU’s, and in terms of culture as they look to drive forward new ways of working. 

You will currently work in a similar position within the food industry. You will be ambitious, well trained, and be able to deal with a complex manufacturing plant. You will have a good understanding of modern manufacturing techniques, and have a leadership ability that enables you to engage with a multi-cultural workforce and break down barriers that exist between manufacturing and other divisions. You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of driving improvements into an operation through a structured approach to continuous improvement.
